SPR is seeking volunteers for the 2025-2026 year for some of its clinical, operational, and professional committees. Given the increased interest in volunteering, the board has implemented policies to expand volunteer opportunities while maintaining structure and efficiency. Be sure to read the bulleted list below before putting your name forward for consideration. If you need clarification on your current committee service, contact the committee chair or the SPR office at info@spr.org.
- SPR members (including trainees) can serve on only one committee per category (i.e., Clinical, Operational, or Professional Issues) and no more than two committees collectively*.
- A member can only serve as the chair or vice-chair of one committee per category*.
- NEW: Only the number of open positions will be filled. This will aid in ensuring the committees are manageable with active participation.
- If you currently serve on a committee, note the following:
- Additional terms are at the discretion of the assigned board member and are an exception, not the rule. Please continue to submit your interest; the review will be done for you.
- If you have already served two consecutive terms, you must have at least one year of lapse before reappointment will be considered.
- If your term on a committee is not ending and you wish to continue serving, no additional action is needed.
*Exceptions may be made for members who are appointed as mandated by the Society's governing documents or who are finishing out a current term.

IMPORTANT: Submit your interest by Monday, May 19, 2025, to be included in the appointment review cycle. Note: The documented start date for committee service is June 1st. However, appointment emails will be distributed by June 30th.
